The "S" days are Stay home days, "Monday" is Mommy day...

I have never really written about my "Stay at Home Mommy days" and the joy these days bring to me. I have always really liked my career, it's something that I enjoy and has always been personally rewarding. I had no idea what "rewarding" was until I became a Mother, and now thanks to my job share set up, I enjoy 4 days a week as a full time Mom, and 3 days a week in the working world. I did not realize a day at the park could be such an incredible day and how much joy watching the girls do so many “firsts” would bring me. A morning art project shows me Kate’s gift for writing and coloring and Lyla’s desire to do everything just like her big sister. A talk before bed can be the highlight of my day learning what the best part of Kate’s day was or hearing her read us a book using the words she remembers us saying from that book, I hope these are nights I will remember forever. I didn't know that I would truly not want my kids to grow up, but as they do, how much I admire the personalities that are being formed. I feel blessed, I feel lucky, and when a negative comes into our lives, it just takes one look at those girls to realize there is nothing truly negative that we can't overcome.
Here are some pictures from recent "Mommy" days. These girls are just fun. :)

Flower art made from a toilet paper tube and paper, Kate made brownies and egg casserole only with guidance, I even trusted her to crack 10 eggs..didn't get any shells in the bowl, I was impressed. You probably have to double click the "writing" picture, but to brag on her a bit, she could write her name before she was 2 1/2, and she just asked us how to spell names the other evening of specific people, and wrote them all out. She is amazing!

These are from the "indoor park", a place we frequently visit on the cold or rainy days...

Kate has been very into learning her days of the week, and school taught her that the days that start with "S" are the stay home days. In their case, so are Monday and Tuesday so the day that starts with "M" in Mommy day, and we are still working on our explanation for Tuesday.
