"When do I go to 2nd grade?"

Kate, for 2 more weeks is 3 years old. She asked me last night, "when do I go to 2nd grade?" I explained to her the process of school, kindergarten to college. College intrigued her. I explained that when you go to College, you no longer live with your Mommy and Daddy, and her responses were so cute, that I want to remember them forever so posting it is the best way. Kate-"You mean I will not live with you forever?" Me- "No, when you are grown up, you will go to college to learn more and meet new people." Kate-"Will Lyla live with me?" Me-"It depends on if Lyla goes to the same college." Kate- "I hope she does so we can live together. I will take care of her." Me-"That is sweet Kate, sure would be fun." Kate-"Mommy, what about you and Daddy? It would be just you two? But, you two will be together forever." Me (silently- sniff, cute) Kate-"If I am not living with you, I won't be able to get the free cookie at the grocery store. Will Daddy have that for me?"
